TTACT will be running their second "RC Challenger Round Robin" tournament on 29 and 30 June, at Tuggeranong Archery Centre. In this Division Singles event, players are allocated a table for a first round robin matches based on their Ratings Central rating, and then their second matches based on their performance in the first round. Up to $1000 of prizemoney is on offer!

It is an ideal competition for ACT competition, players who are not able to play weeknights, who want the opportunity to play people beyond a Pennant division boundary, or for players at nearby NSW clubs.

Matches for the Divison A (RC Guide > 1000) will commence at 6pm sharp on Saturday 29 June (warm up from 5:15pm)  and conclude at by 10pm at the latest.

Matches for the Division B (RC < 1100 at time of registration) will commence at 9am on Sunday and and conclude by 1pm, when social players take over the tables.

All matches are the best of 5 games, with results being recorded in Ratings Central. The TTACT standard Tournament Conditions applies to this event. In particular, note that:

  1. Players must be either a TTACT Competition member, a member of an Affiliated State Association, or an Association Affiliated with ITTF.
  2. A forfeit at a tournament shall be deemed a loss against the forfeiter, except where an athlete withdraws before the start of an event.

Tables are Stiga Expert Roller, and balls will be DHS D40+ 3-star. The venue is the same venue now regularly used for the ACT pennant competition.

Numbers are strictly limited to 88 players (11 starting tables per round) for this event. Early-bird registration (until 25 June) is $25 for TTACT members or $35 for members of other TTA or ITTF affiliated clubs. After 25 June, if places are still available, the cost goes up by $5.

A schematic for the 2 rounds in the event is given in the figure below. The first tound has 3 matches per player, and the second has 2 matches. The draw will be modified right up to match day, to make sure that almost all players are in groups of 4 (in case of withdrawals), especially on the high rating tables.
